Introduction to Editing (Skills to learn for the Real Movie)

On Tuesday 18th January 2011:

We as a group learned to edit our short movie sequence. We first imported our movie clips inside 'FINAL CUT PRO' where our movie will be edited. After this process we started to choose our movie order from chronological order. You can see this through the Time Line. They are all after one another in order.
In the left hand side of the screen we have the scene that we want to edit, then after we have edited the scene, the improved scene will appear on the right hand side.

After we then started to edit the clips to make sure we wanted the shots that we needed and dispose of he ones that we didn't need. The way we did this was by using he buttons 'IN' and OUT'. This made it so that we can manipulate the part of the scene that we needed and the part that we didn't.  During the beginning of the scene we added a Transition Effect in order to practise our skills on editing. We added a fade in and out in the beginning of the scene to make it look professional. So the film starts with a fade in but then we decided not to use this fade in effect due to the fact that it wasn't appropriate for our film.
